Thanks for your response and caveat!

I’m betting that Microsoft’s suggested spelling of “spell check” is correct. Is it one word, two or hyphenated? There’s no real consensus out there, but uniformity in our own products can be our savior.

I would agree with Jeb’s compliments of Emily, and that is a big reason I nominated her to be highlighted. Emily definitely knows her films and does a great job of making the Fargo Theatre a quality experience whether you are there for a film, concert, speaker, etc.

Being a theatre board member, I know the biggest obstacle now is keeping the theatre sustainable. This theatre does not have big blockbuster films showing to provide big cash flow and that is why this non-profit really relies on donations as well. Charitable contributions to the arts have been dwindling for the last several years. So many people comment on how they love the Fargo Theatre and it is often the icon that symbolizes Fargo in the media. I hope we can get more people and companies to show that love by investing in the Fargo Theatre so it can still exist to always be part of the quality of life here in Fargo-Moorhead. I think we often take this non-profit for granted and just assume it will always be there lighting up Broadway.

I think that Emily Beck is doing a fantaastic job at the Fargo Theater. She is dedicated, energetic and very in tune with current trends in film and concert events. She is also extremely personable, bright and beautiful! And she’s my daughter! Go Emily!
