A little bit about how and when you got started
I have been lifelong collector of comics and toys, but never considered opening a store until 2012 when it became apparent that Bismarck needed a local comic and collectible store. With a little push from my friends, I decided to register our name and begin the hunt for a location. I had more than enough items in storage and, after selling a portion of my classic Star Wars figures for some startup capital, we officially opened in October of 2013.

What should people know about your organization
Comic books are alive and well! We sell comics and toys for all ages, but mainly cater towards the adult collectors. We can order just about anything that we know is out there and if we can’t, we’ll find it. As easy as it is to order online, there’s something about walking into a physical brick and mortar store that can’t be beat.

What’s one tip that you have for other YPs that are interested in becoming an entrepreneur
Research is key when it comes to knowing where your money will be going. It’s easy for the bills to pile up quickly and invoices to stack up. Order accordingly and advertise where it will matter most. Most importantly, know your customers.

Where can people learn more
Stopping in at the store, 500 N 3rd St in Bismarck. Or by finding us on Facebook under Juke Joint Comics
