Position

Executive Director, Greater Grand Forks Young Professionals Organization

Reports to:

GGFYP Board of Directors

Objective:

Grow and maintain a thriving Young Professionals organization by advancing the interest of the Greater
Grand Forks community as it relates to the issues that impact Young Professionals.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the GGFYPs – understanding the history of the organization
    and community and the goals for GGFYP’s future.
  • Work with Young Professionals (YPs) and Established Professionals (EPs) to build, maintain, and
    support initiatives that attract and retain young professionals in our community
  • Establish relationships with community partners including city leaders, community
    organizations, and local businesses
  • Establish professional development and leadership opportunities for YPs
  • Define and implement operating guidelines including financial management, goal planning,
    policy review, procedures, reporting methods, communication guidelines, record keeping,
    committee structure, board positions, etc.
  • Plan and implement YP and community activities, events, and programs

Consults with:

The Chamber, Grand Forks/East Grand Forks, Grand Forks Region Economic Development Corporation,
and Launch Grand Forks Committee, Corporate Sponsors, YP Advisory Board

Terms of Employment:

  • 40hours per week
  • Starting salary: $35,000‐$45,000 plus benefits

Qualifications:

  • 2 or 4 year post‐secondary degree
  • Knowledgeable about the amenities, activities and rapport of the Grand Forks/East Grand Forks
    community and the GGFYPs
  • Strong leadership and organization skills
  • Self starter, ability to take initiative to develop new ideas, programs, and activities
  • Flexible, ability to adapt to new demands and situations
